For the 17th year “running”, St. Joe’s is happy to return as the official charity partner of the Around the Bay Road Race. The iconic Hamilton race aims to return to a hybrid/in-person event on March 27, 2022. We are very excited for the event to return and for us to welcome back our community of fundraisers, donors, and a soon to be announced Community Champion.
In addition to all the in-person race categories – 5k, 30k, 2 x 15 km Relay, 3 x 10 km Relay and The Hammer – the Bay Race will offer the option to complete new race distances virtually, too. So, no matter what option you’re most comfortable with, there is a way for you to walk, run & raise funds for St. Joe’s!
All registration and fundraising will be done directly on the Bay Race website: www.bayrace.com. Rest assured their registration platform comes complete with new and exciting fundraising tools, and always, our St. Joe’s Foundation team is here to help! Whether you’re joining as an individual, running with friends and family, or joining one of our Corporate or Hospital teams, we can’t wait to welcome you back to the Bay Race.
Did you miss out on your desired race category for the 2022 Around the Bay Road Race? Don’t let your training go to waste! A St. Joe’s Charity Spot is the only way to gain access to sold-out race categories. Please CLICK HERE to register.

St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation has been a charity partner of the Bay Race since 2005. In that time, St. Joe’s has raised over $4 million to support patient care and research at the Hospital.
Funds raised through this year’s Bay Race will support the expansion and renewal of our Emergency Mental Health Services – a service that has never been more important that it is right now as we all cope with the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. As well, funds raised will bring us one step closer to creating a new CT Suite in our busy Emergency Department.
